Solgar Folacin (folic acid) 400 µg, also called vitamin B9, contributes to various processes in the body, but the best known is the development of maternal tissue during pregnancy. Folic acid is a recommended supplement for women before and during pregnancy. It is found in a variety of foods, such as green leafy vegetables, but to ensure adequate intake, especially before and after conception, supplementation is recommended. Low folic acid has been shown to be a risk factor for spina bifida in the developing foetus.
Recommended for women before and during pregnancy, as it promotes maternal tissue development during pregnancy.
