Mixture of soluble and insoluble plant fibres
Fibres include plant cell wall components such as cellulose, lignins and gums.
Psyllium regulates intestinal transit in the case of both constipation (by drinking sufficient water) and diarrhoea (by absorbing excess fluids present in the intestine). In both cases, it has a high water-absorbing capacity to form a gel which returns the faeces to their natural consistency.
It also helps in the case of haemorrhoids and/or anal fissures.
