How to use
It is called the 'sunshine vitamin' because it is obtained from exposure to the sun (and from foods rich in vitamin D). It can be taken at any time of year. Higher doses (4000 IU) can be taken in the colder months with less exposure to the sun, 2200 IU in spring and 1000 IU-600 IU as a maintenance dose when adequate blood levels of vitamin D have been reached or during summer periods when supplementation is still needed.
