Instructions for use
Take 1 capsule daily. You can take it at any time of day you prefer, preferably with food.
The only situation in which it is necessary to take it without food is if you take it in order to increase the absorption of the drug Levothyroxine because you have hypothyroidism. In that case, it is recommended that you take levothyroxine + C-500 + water and wait 30-45 minutes to eat any food, supplement or drug. This way you will be able to optimize the absorption of levothyroxine thanks to the acidic environment that C-500 allows to create.
The antioxidant vitamin with numerous extra functions:
Participates in the proper production of collagen.
Contributes to the regeneration of vitamin E.
Contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system.
It participates in the synthesis of key neurotransmitters for adequate psychological function.
It participates in the formation of L-carnitine, therefore it participates in the proper energy metabolism of fats.
Participates in proper hepatic detoxification metabolism.
Contributes to the maintenance of adequate joint and dental health.
Improves iron absorption.
Vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant and key in our defense against oxidative free radicals. These radicals can be generated by solar radiation, environmental pollution, nitrates present in foods such as meats, sausages, vegetables and greens, as well as by inflammatory diseases such as diabetes, autoimmune diseases, endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome or simply the process natural aging after 25 years.
All of these factors contribute to the accumulation of oxidizing substances in our cells. If not properly removed from the body, they can lead to DNA mutations that affect cellular function and predispose to disease.
Now, vitamin C not only acts as a "cleansing" antioxidant, it also plays key roles in your body, such as:
It is necessary for the proper production of collagen, the most abundant protein in the human body. As we age, collagen production decreases, which can cause the skin to lose firmness and elasticity, as well as affect the optimal structure of bones, teeth and cartilage. This can cause joint pain and dental problems.
Contributes to the regeneration of other important antioxidants such as vitamin E.
It plays a key role in the synthesis of hormones and neurotransmitters, such as adrenaline, norepinephrine and dopamine. The latter is essential for motivation and the right state of mind.
It is necessary for the proper functioning of liver enzymes involved in the metabolism of hormones such as cortisol, aldosterone, testosterone, progesterone and estrogens. In this way, vitamin C allows the liver to properly perform its detoxification functions.
Lastly, vitamin C facilitates the production of L-carnitine in your body. L-carnitine is responsible for transporting fatty acids into the mitochondria so they can be "burned" and used as energy. Therefore, adequate levels of vitamin C promote optimal fat oxidation.
Additionally, vitamin C may be beneficial for people with digestion problems, such as low gastric acid production, hypothyroidism, atrophic gastritis, or the use of medications such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or proton pump inhibitors. In these cases, vitamin C can help the stomach produce sufficient acid for proper absorption of micronutrients and proteins, thus improving digestion.
Why haven't we put more in Vita C-500?
Our Vita C-500 supplement contains the right amount of vitamin C to maximize its absorption and therefore its functions in the body. More is not always better, and this also applies to vitamin C. Taking more than 500 mg of vitamin C in a single dose is not effective because its excess is not absorbed and is eliminated through urine.
How much C-500 should you take?
The ideal is 1 capsule a day.
However, you could take up to 3 capsules a day 8 hours apart if desired.
